[Software License Agreement]

By using, copying, or distributing the Software, you automatically agree to and indicate that you have read and understood the term and conditions contained within this Software License Agreement. The software, PDBETA, and the associated documentation (the "Software") were developed by Drs. Hiroshi Wako (Waseda University) and Shigeru Endo (Kitasato University) (the "Contributors"). The Software is copyright © 2011 Hiroshi Wako and Shigeru Endo. Title, ownership rights, and intellectual property rights in and to the Software, and each copy thereof, shall remain in the Contributors. Copyright law protects this Software and any associated material.

You (each licensee is addressed as "you") are granted a non-exclusive license to use the Software on the following terms only for non-commercial purposes. You may:
(a) use the Software on any computer in your possession;

If you want to use the DSSP program for secondary structure assignment by W. Kabsch and C. Sander [1], you need to download the executable file for either Windows or Linux at the following site.

http://swift.cmbi.ru.nl/gv/dssp/

The downloaded file should be put in the bin folder/directory of PDBETA.

If the DSSP file does not exist in the bin folder/directory, PDBETA uses the information on secondary structure assignment in the PDB data.
