Using PDBj's web-interface

The new PDBj web interace offers users a bleeding edge web application designed for the future.

Software requirements

A wide range of browsers are supported. For feature and performance reasons, we recommend you to use the latest version of the following browsers:

• Google Chrome (29+)
• Mozilla Firefox (23+)
• Opera (15+)
• Apple Safari (5+)
• Microsoft Internet Explorer (10+)

To support WebGL, these versions are recommended.

Note: Older versions will most likely also work, but are not recommended due to feature, performance and security concerns with those browsers. Please take a look at our browser support page for more information regarding the limitations of your browser.

Other than a modern browser, to view the molecular structure of entries using jV or Jmol, the most recent version of Java is required which can be downloaded here. Check here whether you have the latest version installed.

To use molmil, it is also recommended to have updated video drivers (drivers newer than 2010-12-31 should be sufficient, but the latest drivers are recommended for better performance).

In case of performance issues please check whether you're using one of the recommended browsers and your browser has been updated to the latest version.

Konw issues

• Due to a styling bug introduced in Firefox 52.0.x, all the pull down menus on our website do not work correctly. Please upgrade your Firefox browser to the latest version (>=53).

Getting used to the new interface

To help users to get used to the new interface, we have developed an interactive tutorial feature to help guide users navigate the web interface.
