PubMed Abstract: Methanol dehydrogenase (MDH) is a bacterial periplasmic quinoprotein; it has pyrrolo-quinoline quinone (PQQ) as its prosthetic group, requires Ca2+ for activity and uses cytochrome cL as its electron acceptor. Low-resolution structures of MDH have already been determined.
