CRYSTALS WERE CRYOPROTECTED BY BRIEF IMMERSION (5-60 S) IN RESERVOIR SOLUTION SUPPLEMENTED WITH 25% GLYCEROL AND WERE RAPIDLY CRYOCOOLED IN LIQUID N2 OR A 100 K STREAM OF N2 GAS.
