PubMed Abstract: Thermophilic fungi have recently emerged as a promising source of thermostable enzymes. Superoxide dismutases are key antioxidant metalloenzymes with promising therapeutic effects in various diseases, both acute and chronic. However, structural heterogeneity and low thermostability limit their therapeutic efficacy.
