To tell whether a PDB entry type is non-PDB format compatible or not - FAQ

이 페이지는 다른 언어로도 제공됩니다: English日本語

Q) How can I tell whether a PDB entry type is non-PDB format compatible or not?

A) You can tell by referring to the pdbx_database_status.pdb_format_compatible field in PDBx/mmCIF or PDBML files, or using the CIF query or SQL search services to extract this field. When the value of this field is "Y", it means that the entry is PDB format compatible (i.e. a conventional type compatible with the PDB format). If it is "N", it means that it is a non-PDB format compatible (recently created type released with a PDB bundle, which includes multiple PDB formatted files and a Chain ID mapping information file).
